SOLD Acquired from a private collection and now available for purchase
this lovely handmade graduated silver bead necklace with
one single large brilliant blue gorgeous Turquoise Bisbee stone rectangular shaped
at the base surrounded by a floral leaf design
with Bear claws framing the stone from above.
This necklace could easily be worn by a man or a woman.
So in other words by purchasing this necklace, it could be possible
that it could be a joint gift, a gift that each of you could
wear and it could be that one gift you could take turns wearing it,
because most people we find have more than one piece of jewelry and
they like to change out their jewelry to wear something different each day,
whereas some people like to have their own signature jewelry
look that defines who they are
and often people have tendency to do this with their jewelry.
We have in the past also sold Concho belts that a husband and wife could each wear.
So the idea of buying this necklace with the idea that then this is a shared gift,
suddenly then making the gift, this necklace, price seem more reasonable.
Beads graduate from largest single bead at the base of the necklace, measuring 16.89 mm
to the smallest beads 2 next to clasp measuring 6.76mm.
This necklace weighs 82.7 grams.
End to end clasped this necklace measures 13", so total length 26"L.
Widest point of necklace at bear claws measures 2".
Pendant alone measures 3 3/4"H x 2"W.
With the current configuration the pendant part does not detach instead it is a beautiful old pawn necklace.
Another option is if you did decide to purchase this necklace, you could do with it however you please...
You could make the base it's own pendant and put it on your
own leather or chain or your own size length and style of beads,
turn it into a bolo making the graduated beads a separate bead necklace unto itself.
By keeping this in it's original configuration from a collectors standpoint possibly be more of value to them.
This is a very collectable necklace for two reasons,
One that this is a rare and beautiful Bisbee Turquoise stone
which is no longer being mined,
and the second reason being that it was made in a period of time of Carl Luthy
(signed as a male stick figure),
who only used the best of stones for the jewelry designs he had
Native artists do for him that he employed.
