SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE (SOLD) & BRACELET (AVAILABLE)
green turquoise Zuni style set
collaborated by two talented artists Don Lucus and Leo Feeney.
The previous collector made this her set and enjoyed it her entire lifetime.
Unfortunately the set was broke up so now only the bracelet remains.
The necklace is signed Don Lucus and the bracelet is signed Leo Feeney size 6 3/4. Great unique bracelet design and what a wonderful variety of colors you see closeup in the stones of turquoise.
What a pretty dynamic set that this set was until the set has been split up so sorry to report.
That would have been a fun to wear and enjoy your entire lifetime but now no more...
However...
Once you view our entire selection of Squash Blossom Necklaces only until then
can you can better understand just why you would prefer
to own more than one Squash Blossom Necklace.
The good news is...
We currently have over 100 squash blossom necklaces that are not sets at Mudhead Gallery!
The creation of making Native American Indian Jewelry we carry is becoming a lost art.
Why is it becoming a lost art you ask?
Because of the degree of difficulty
to create it for one, the materials are mined out and mines are closing
they are not active and it is cost prohibitive to mine turquoise.
So lack of materials that is of great quality. Time it takes to create
a set such as this. Making jewelry is not only time consuming and most artists have
a full time job a family to raise already and those two aspects alone are like working 2 jobs...
and we know from our lives and our personal experience,
how busy and expensive life can be.
So many artists don’t become jewelers instead they find
themselves departing from their traditions and Native ways
and earn a living in other ways.
We have more collectors than we have pieces...
Supply and demand...
Thanks for looking!
