Phil Pvo is the Kiowa artist of this sterling silver and 14kt gold ring. Phil is no longer working producing his designs he once did as we know it today. This measures 1 1/4"L x 5/8"W tapered ring in a size 5 1/2. This motif is one of a deer by what looks to be a tree in 14kt gold with silver stamping on top and on bottom of ring. The deer design is unusual as in this ring the deer in not overlaid but instead is the base of the design and the silver and gold overlay the deer. Silver & gold overlay designs are very interesting concepts in jewelry making as this then shows true dimensions of designs often using liver of sulfur to darken the background.
