Now available for your consideration this lovely Santa Clara polychrome Pot by artist Lois Gutierrez.
This pot is so beautiful as it depicts the actual part of one of the many Navajo lifestyles of a Navajo woman
actually weaving a rug on a traditional loom. A lot of thought went into making such a pot as this.
This pot looks beautiful from every side as the designs just flow from one to another just so
effortlessly and so nicely. This pot may be one of those pieces that can use a slow revolving
circular turntable that moves slowly on its own you plug in so you can
appreciate the flowing designs even more vividly. Yes you can turn it manually
but that could be tiring, and you don't need to have it going all the time but just thoses special moments
like when you have company or on occasional party or get together,
or perhaps that special time of quietness you enjoy alone when you just want to enjoy the pots beauty for beauty sake.
Artistically there are a few pieces that can benefit by using such a device and this pot just may be one of them.
You can determine which art pieces you own that can warrant this...
a plug in turntable that sits below the artwork...
Pot has wonderful dimensions measuring 8 1/2"H x 8"W a size that is
very easy to place and yet large enough to show up from across a room.
As of today this is the only Lois Gutierrez pot that remains at the Mudhead Gallery...
we have sold all the other pieces we have had...
Thanks for looking!
