this pot is signed Linda Tafoya Sanchez.  

She is the granddaughter of Margaret Tafoya.

This pot is a lovely black carved large egg shaped pot with

black carved out shiny hummingbirds in various positions

in flight amoungst one another having a matte black finish

however with a micaceous clay background.

There are a total of 7 hummingbirds on this pot.  

Three on one side then 4 on the obverse.

This pot measures 6 1/2"H x 4 1/2"W.

During the course of Linda Tafoyas pottery making years,

she has signed her pottery in a variety of ways.

This is indicative of her age she created the pot as it is with many other

Native American artists.
