Not only are both artist's husband and wife deceased, there has been "a moratorium placed on coral",
so what does that mean for you as a collector???
This means that you need to know when you purchase this piece or when you considering acquiring this piece,
no more coral can be taken out of the ocean therefore this piece can not be duplicated replicated
and you retain the piece as well as its value as these particular artist's can no longer create a piece such as this
nor can it be recreated in oxblood coral. This combination together makes this piece valuable and collectable
from a collectors standpoint.
Due to the fact that to even find oxblood coral in the past, divers had to dive to pirellis depths to recover it,
keeping in mind this fact along with that all the coral beds being destroyed due to pollutants
destroying the coral beds and it takes about 100 years for coral like this to grow.
In one of the featured photos Julian is pictured with his wife and she collaborated in his designs as well.
Also you can see his wife actually wearing this cross.
