SOLD Purchased from a private collection and now available for purchase this Mudhead with
Tuhavi Hopi Kachinas.
According to legend, one Katsina , in this case the Tuhavi was paralyzed and in order to
get around was carried by a friend
the Mudhead (Koyemsi),who was blind. Together they were able to hunt travel and
accomplish many tasks.

ceremony and to show appreciation for them, both are healed.
This Katsina pair is the true definition of teamwork.
What a beautiful story of real life this is.
This story can be understood across many miles and
among many peoples of a variety of heritages.
Artists themselves determine whether or not they will sign a piece.
Some artists want to promote their artwork...meanwhile other artists would rather remain anonymous.
Such is the case of this artist who created this lovely piece with such a wonderful story.
They apparently didn't feel they wanted to take credit for whatever reason in signing this piece.
If not purchasing this piece due to it not being signed and this bothers you then pass up the opportunity to own it.
This then would be a sign that someone who just loves the story and the piece is meant to own this.
This piece will find it's proper owner.
The price reflects the piece is not signed and also what a great opportunity to own such a nice piece.
because it is a great piece of art!
