YOUR CONTE CRAYON DRAWING:
"Conte Crayon is an old medium imported from France and comes only in earth tones. I have developed
my own techniques in using Conte' and it has proved to be very effective. The drawing is done on a panel
of masonite with a Gesso base. I then do the drawing, after which it is sprayed with a strong fixative to
protect the finish. This drawing is very durable and can be cleaned with a mild soap and water when necessary.
"The versatility in framing my Conte's is unique, as some are framed under glass, but still have the protection
of those framed without glass." David E. Garrison.
