Acquired from a private estate and now available for your consideration...
this bronze sculpture is an action packed Western Bronze sculpture of a
Native American spearing Bison, Tatonka Buffalo.
This piece is a representation of Native lifestyle back in the day
just fighting for their basic survival.
As difficult as it may often seem that you believe your life today may seem difficult...
nothing really can compare to the Native American lifestyle back in the day...
Fighting for their land and fighting for their survival...
This measures 14"H X 23"L X 12.5"W.
This piece for its size really has alot going on...
The measurement of this piece is very compact for it's subject matter as it is
not the largest of pieces giving an impact to the viewer without taking over an entire space of a room.
What I love about this piece is when viewing this piece is that you can totally get lost in the moment...
as it takes you back in time where you are viewing this piece and all that is going on before your eyes.
Another aspect to this piece, is the patina of the brown bronze as it is
exceptionally beautiful and matches the wooden base so well
they compliment one another. You can feel the fury and action of this piece
shown in the face of the horse as his heart is racing and his nostrils are flaring
just as horses do when you are riding them as they are running so fast they get excited.
Native is holding onto the horse with his inner thighs and his moccasins bearing into the horses side as he's ready
to spear the closest bison to him as he holds onto his horse for dear life.
I am not sure how many of you out there have actually ridden bareback on a horse at any given time...
but that task alone is not an easy task, especially when your horse is running so fast to catch up to 3 buffalo!
Not only are you catching up to three Buffalo who could turn on you at any given moment...
but one Buffalo with any luck at all and a whole lot of talent, & tenacity will soon
become your food clothing and shelter as the Native American people never
waste any of the Buffalo once they harvest it.
That is the beauty of this culture that each and everyone of us could learn from.
This particular Native has his very spine showing as if he may have missed several successful Bison hunts
along the way...and now this one Bison can not get away as his many people, men women and children
all are so very hungry...
they have prepared a hot fire...awaiting his return...
Don't let this bronze get away from you with only 12 in the very limited edition...
and this Western Bronze sculpture being #1, things don't get much better than that!
Thanks for looking!
