Now available at Mudhead Gallery as well as now online this rare pawn
Turquoise needlepoint and pettipoint bracelet in an oval wide cuff shape.
Now here is a beautiful classic design of an authentic Zuni bracelet and one almost never seen
due to its difficulty to create, needlepoint with pettipoint in rare sleeping beauty Turquoise,
which incidentally no longer being mined...rare soon to be found only in a museums...
Elongated stones are needlepoint and then snake eye or pettipoint interspersed creating a wonderful flow
of color and design...timeless beauty...
Bracelet measures 7" all the way around measuring the inside
of the bracelet including the opening. Opening alone measures 1 1/8"W.
Bracelet's width measures 3"W at center tapering down to a 3/8"W
at bracelet's opening. Bracelet weighs 83.2 grams.
Bracelet's structural design makes it strong
when 4 horizontal square shaped sterling silver wires extend through bracelet
becoming wider at center of bracelet and tapering and
all join side by side coming together at bracelet's opening.
Zuni workmanship is exquisite in this bracelet as in this design
first the bezels need to all be created one at a time...then once they are all created
then all of the stones have to be meticulously shaped to fit into each bezel.
A rope design and droplets of sterling silver beads accent the piece.
All stones match nicely and all are Zuni Native American handmade spaced apart to perfection.
This is a pawn bracelet and it was made prior to artists signing their work
therefore this piece is not signed.
When putting on this bracelet as well as taking it off...
it is very important with any bracelet that you relax your wrist... place the
bracelet on above the wrist bone and
only use thumb side to put on and take off your bracelets.
We have found that by doing this and by using this technique,
you can prevent your stones from falling out in your bracelets
you will have no repairs needed moving forward and will experience a better end result
when owning a bracelet such as this or really owning any bracelet...when you
relax the wrist instead of opening and then closing your bracelet with each use...
because it's a bracelet...and not a door...
opening and closing any bracelet excessively will fatigue the bracelet
the reality and eventuality of this is that it will break when abused.
Jewelry you wear needs to fit your lifestyle. So if you love the
outdoors you can own this ring however
you should wear it when you are not participating in outdoor activities
for best results...
If owning a signed piece is important to you...
