BOLO TIE HOPI OVAL BIRD MOTIF LEONARD SHUPLA

Now available online for your shopping convenience this 1984-1990’s Hopi Bolo Tie oval in a bird motif that was acquired from a private estate.The artist of this bolo tie is Leonard Shupla. Hopi jewelry generally speaking is difficult to come by as much of it went to private collections and many of the artists are no longer living or no longer working.  Black leather bolo strap measures end to end 22”L.

Sterling silver bolo tie tips measure 2”L and that measurement is included in the total measurement of the straps. Black leather bolo strap, has a nice feature as it becomes wider and flattens out as it goes under a shirt collar and is more comfortable to the wearer as a result of this great design. Bolo itself is oval in shape and measures

2 1/8”H x 1 5/8”W. This design many would think of as being more abstract looking to many or to most as it has much appeal because it is in Hopi design and is not so specific as an Eagle or a Kokopelli therefore it may have more appeal to more people, generally speaking. When I see this I see a bird with prayer feathers.

This has a clutch clasp. When putting on and off make sure you are not pulling on the bolo tips as you could pull them off.  

Always adjust above the bolo tips for best results.
