Philander Begay is the Navajo artist of this very unique Belt Buckle made from Tufa Cast,
showing on one side of the Belt Buckle a closeup capturing the figure of a Buffalo Dancer on the front side
of the buckle then reverse shows a pueblo village scene and mountains in the background.
The mountains and the sun stand out as they show as being shiny whereas the remainder
of the buckle made from Tufa Cast (silver poured in lava rock)show as being darker and having matrix,
as Tufa Cast always shows a flat finish.
This is made from sterling silver stamped PBB and 925 on the reverse.
The Buffalo Dancer figure is shown wearing a Buffalo robe draped over his head
just as they are worn during the traditional Buffalo Dances.
Buffalo horns display blue turquoise and coral inlay in the horns, as contrasting
green Turquoise also is found on each end of the keeper, fashioned in a round inlay display.
This belt buckle is quite heavy weighing 138.4 grams.
Belt Buckle measures 2 1/2"H x 3 3/8"W.
Keeper measures 1 1/4".
It's always fun to own and enjoy wearing such an interesting piece that
no one else is wearing.
Our jewelry is all one of a kind...specially made for that one of kind..."You"!
