 Product Description

SOLD Purchased directly from the artist and waiting for 2 years for
completion this one rare dark Orange spiny oyster

shell Heishi bead necklace by Santa Domingo artist Ken Aguilar.

First photo shows the entire selection we purchased from Ken.
The remaining photos shows more specifically which necklace

we are selling on this listing.

In this listing we are selling the only one graduated necklace

showing the darkest spiny oyster shell necklace which is a 3 strand
interspersed with multi-color beads consisting of green and blue turquoise
Varacite & purple spiny oyster shell beads $2100..
This gorgeous necklace predominate color is of dark orange spiny oyster shell beads.

Dark brown pen shell beads separate each orange spiny oyster shell bead
as well as add length toward the top of the necklace just below the sterling silver handmade cones.  Both are assets of this necklace, the separation of beads
and the graduation of the beads each assist in the flow of the beauty
necklace when it is worn.
Rare, and hard to

come by, this shell, by its very nature has many pores in each bead
so just know this going in when you go to buy a necklace
such as this.
If you are looking for perfection in each bead then this necklace

would not be "your thing". Please see our other items if so.
In nature generally speaking we find that there are imperfections throughout.
This is what makes it one of a kind and beautiful.

The shortest this necklace could be is 28 1/2"L.
The longest this necklace could be is 30 3/4"L.
An extender chain could be added making this 1"-4" longer for an
additional cost.
This necklaces weighs 101 grams.
This weight includes the extender chain and silver cones attached.

This shell is found in the Baja of California.

When you compare this necklace to the other two most similar to it,
this one necklace is the slightly smaller mm bead necklace that graduates and has
brown pen shell beads separating each bead, in addition it has
several pen shell beads that add to the length under the sterling silver cones.
This necklace is the farthest from the right in the group photo
displaying all of Ken Aguilar's necklaces.  Then in the photo showing
the three orange spiny oyster shell necklaces all together, with multi-color beads,
this necklace is the one on the far left.
This necklace is perfect for someone liking the darkest spiny oyster
shell necklace and perfect for someone who prefers a lighter weight
necklace and this one is the lighter weight necklace of all Ken's
multi-strand beaded necklaces shown with the exception of the one strand
multi-color necklace located on the far left in the group photo displaying
all of Ken Aguilar's necklaces.

We have found Native American

artists to be so very creative in their art, using a multitude
of stones and often of a variety of color.   When you see this shell...
you wonder how in the world someone could create such beauty
in of all things with materials such as this hard rare light orange spiny oyster shell.
Tenacity creativity and a lot of practice and a whole lot of patience
made these artists the award winning artists they are.  They never gave up
they kept working until the job they set out to do was completed
to their specific high level of satisfaction...thus creating the art form
and art creation & success they enjoy today.
As you can see its not just something
you can just go home and create yourself.
This is why jewelry such as this, is and will always be, in demand.
Not everyone can find it not everyone can create this and not everyone
can wear it well...You however can wear it well as you do everything well...
