this rare unique and one of a kind Turquoise cluster link Concho belt

by Zuni artist Alice Quam. Gorgeous sleeping beauty turquoise (no longer mined),

is the stone used to create this concho belt.

With Zuni jewelry to just create a concho belt such as this, this is very labor intense creation

as each bezel first must be cut to prepare for each Turquoise

cabochon to be formed to fit each individual bezel, a true labor of love.

The end result shows the true artistry of Alice Quam at her best!

Belt measures end to end 31 1/2"L.  This could be worn as either a concho belt or as a necklace,

the link style allows for the flexibility to wear it either way.  Each concho measures 1 1/2"round,

whereas the buckle measures 2" round.Each silver circle joining the conchos measure 3/4" round.

This is valuable information to a perspective owner of this belt.  Not many of us have a waist 31 1/2" around

so this is how you can increase the actual length of this belt. Simply by adding one more circle

of silver just next to the current circle of silver you can gain  some inches without destroying

the creativity of Alice Quam's design.

You could easily add a total of "10" silver circles and still keep this concho belt "balanced in it's design"

and best of all ..."now wearable"!

Any jeweler could do this for you. Its just a matter of having them create the same

gauge of silver used in the concho belt then attaching them for you.  

They are the jewelers--just leave the work to them-- that's what they do.  

There is a total of 10 conchos plus a buckle.  The buckle is 1/2" larger than all the other conchos.

Sterling silver, not stamped, signed A.Q..  This belt weights 177.5grams.
